The EncryptedEye™ platform consists of one special EncryptedEye™ unit called the ISERVer™, which manages the entire network, and one or more EncryptedEye™ units, which serve as the secure storage network infrastructure for a DVR/camera surveillance at each office location.
Single Location: The ISERVer™ and EncryptedEye™ are designed to connect directly to the Internet using broadband. In the back of each unit is a built in 10/100BT (10/100/1000BT switch for higher end models) switch which you can connect your DVR(s), PCs, or IP cameras as shown below. In a standalone mode, the ISERVer™ or EncryptedEye™ provides:
- Protection to the internal network so that hackers cannot steal vital information on the DVR(s) and EncryptedEye or view live cameras inside your office. Each unit has a built in firewall to make the DVR(s) and cameras invisible to the Internet.
The EncryptedEye provides a complete secure storage network for any DVR/Cameras surveillance solution.
- A scalable storage (up to 1 terabyte on a 1U unit and larger for a 2U unit and up) with RAID redundancy for DVR(s) to store recorded videos. Many DVR(s) have a built-in storage for captured videos but many lack redundancy and a large storage capacity. As a result many DVR(s) must store captured videos to a network attached storage (NAS). The EncryptedEye™ has all the NAS functionality built in so there is no need to use a NAS. Reducing the number of boxes improves the reliability of the system. The large storage capacity of the EncryptedEye™ unit allows DVR(s) to store captured videos at a higher frame rate over a longer period of time.
- A private network infrastructure so that your legacy DVR/analog cameras can integrate easily with IP cameras and wireless IP. Many DVR(s) only work with analog cameras and cannot capture videos from IP and wireless cameras. The EncryptedEye™ provides a single network storage solution to store captured videos from DVR(s) as well as IP and wireless cameras.
Multiple Locations: The ISERVer™ and EncryptedEye™ are built to work securely and reliably across the WAN. If you have multiple geographical locations you can register the EncryptedEye™ units to the ISERVer™ to form a secure network. The benefits are
- Instant connectivity to other remote locations securely. There is no longer a need to open ports in the firewall at each location or configuring cameras to run on a particular port to be visible on the Internet. Once registered to the ISERVer™, the EncryptedEye™, DVR(s), and IP and wireless cameras are accessible by private IPs. The entire distributed surveillance system is protected and appears as if it is local in your network.
- Encryption of video, voice and data between all sites. You can watch multiple video streams from multiple locations simultaneously without worrying prying eyes intercepting and decoding your video streams.
- Centralized management. The ISERVer™ can monitor all the EncryptedEye™ units in your network. If an EncryptedEye™ unit storage is full or its connectivity is down, you will know it right away. Management can be done from anywhere in the network.
- Application for archiving. The platform has built in application to archive all captured videos back to headquarter or to anywhere you like. This enables the organization to perform security surveillance without the need of having an IT/Security staff at each location.
Once the videos are captured, the EncryptedEye can securely archive the contents to any designated EncryptedEye at a remote location.
- Mobile users secure login. The EncryptedEye™ platform comes with mobile adapters for mobile users who wish to securely connect into their corporation to view live cameras, access data, or managing surveillance stations. The mobile adapters perform encryption similar to the EncryptedEye™ unit so intruders cannot sniff data as data are transferred via the Internet.
The EncryptedEye platform comes with mobile adapters that allow mobile users to VPN into their network to view live videos from multi locations.
